Jack Baker earns MO American Legion • Player of the Week

Jack Baker was brilliant on the mound on Saturday at Ballwin Athletic Association, as Baker threw a no-hitter to lead Eureka Legion Post 177 19U past Festus Post 253 7-0.

Eureka Legion Post 177 19U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Cole Rogers hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, and Trae Peterson singled, scoring one run.

Eureka Legion Post 177 19U added one run in the second. Levi Feiser walked, making the score 4-0.

Connor Heister took the loss for Festus Post 253. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering seven runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking five.

Rogers provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Eureka Legion Post 177 19U with two runs batted in. Brady Nenninger, Eureka Legion Post 177 19U's number nine hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Eureka Legion Post 177 19U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. AJ Scott had the most chances in the field with 11.

Festus Post 253 turned two double plays in the game.
