TIM CLUBB

Drafted 2009 by Chicago Cubs

2005 Eureka High School graduate.  At Eureka, Clubb was a four-year letter winner, and was selected to the all- state first team. His senior year he turned in an 8-2 record and 1.31 ERA in 64.1 innings pitched, along with 84 strikeouts. Also selected as a two-time all Suburban South Conference infielder, Clubb hit .337 and drove in 26 runs. During American Legion play in the summer of 2005, Clubb pitched for Eureka Legion Post 177 and, in 57.2 innings, he had 57 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.70, while batting .466 with 36 RBIs.

 

Clubb led Missouri State in wins as a redshirt freshman, finishing the year with a 6-3 record and 4.07 ERA. He began the season as a mid-week starter, but earned a spot in the coveted weekend rotation midway through the conference season and ended up being voted by his teammates as the Bears' Rookie of the Year.

 

The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder finished 2008 with an amazing 11-0 record and a 2.52 earned run average in just over 103 innings. He was one of five pitchers in the nation to have at least 11 wins.
